Youth Ministerial Meeting Participation, Belek Turkey

  • Published in News

It is our pleasure to say that Mr. Milosevic was elected to be a part of Youth Ministerial Meeting from 11th to 13th May in Turkey which took place alongside NATO Ministerial Meeting. During this time he participated in discussion with high ranking NATO officials and Ministers of Foreign Affairs from NATO member countries and PfP. During the interview with Deputy Secretary General of NATO Ambassador Alexander Vershbow the topic was the steps NATO takes to improve global security and how they are battling emerging security challenges such as violent extremism, cyber defense, and he touched on the topic of Ukraine crisis.

Being a part of such a great event with future leaders around the world, put into perspective the importance of collaboration from all for a better tomorrow. Balkans are a volatile region, as the word says. Bal and Kan were derived from Turkish language which means Blood and Honey. During these three days a lot of fruitful discussions were held with diplomats who forge Foreign Policy in their countries. We are very happy to say Mr. Milosevic greatly contributed to these discussion.

During one of the Workshops we have created new and innovative ways how NATO can improve in certain areas including Readiness Action Plan, New Strategic Concept and a few others. Mr. Milosevic was one of the leaders in his Workshop to create a better way for response of SPEARHEAD troops and how to make the system more efficient alongside his group members from Azerbaijan, United States and Montenegro.

Atlantic Council of Serbia is proud to have one of its executives partake and represent the Republic of Serbia in such an important event organized by Atlantic Treaty Association and the Atlantic Council of Turkey. We hope events like this will be happening on a regular basis, so we can discuss and prevent future crisis from occurring.
