On the 3rd of December 2017 the Board of Directors of the Atlantic Treaty Association – ATA elected Mr. Vladan Zivulovic, the President of the Atlantic Council of Serbia, to be the Vice President in front of a member states of Partnership for peace Program.
The Atlantic Treaty Association it is an umbrella organization for the separate national associations, voluntary organizations and non-governmental organizations that formed to uphold the values of the Alliance after its creation in 1949. It seeks to inform the public of NATO’s role in international peace and security and promote democracy, individual liberty and the rule of law through debate and dialogue.
The Republic of Serbia is a member of Partnership for Peace Program since 2006.
The election of the representative from Serbia to such a distinguished position is a confirmation to, not only the Atlantic Council, but also Serbia which upholds an active and constructive cooperation with Atlantic community.
