On June 21, the Atlantic Council of Serbia held a conference “Non-Military Aspects of NATO” at its headquarters. The conference was held within the broader project “Partnership of Serbia and NATO” with the support of the US Embassy in Belgrade.
The speakers of this conference were retired captain of the battleship Petar Boskovic, journalist and military analyst Aleksandar Radic and retired air defense major Dusan Dobrila, and the moderator was the president of the Atlantic Council of Serbia, Vladan Zivulovic.
Topics discussed were: the structure of NATO’s political work, the Science for Peace program, the EADRCC, NATO’s assistance in natural disasters, the Alliance’s role in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic, the role of the Department of Public Diplomacy (NATO PDD). ) in educating the wider population about NATO and combating misinformation.
